JMX Brands Makes Internet Retailer’s 2016 Second 500

For the fifth year in a row, JMX Brands was named to Internet Retailer Magazine’s Second 500, which ranks North America’s fast-growing mid-tier Web merchants. JMX Brands jumped from 903 to 870 on the list, with $7.9 million in revenues for 2015. JMX Brands also ranked 81 in the best performers score and was the 45th fastest growing e-retailer.

JMX Brands, one of the largest ecommerce retailers of Amish furniture at, also placed 45 in the housewares/homes furnishings category, up from 48 the previous year.

The average growth rate of the Second 500 companies was 14.9 percent for 2015, which made JMX Brand’s 40 percent growth even more impressive.

To stand out in a hyper-competitive environment, JMX Brands continued to improve website functionality, including better search and selection capabilities; added personalized email communications; and expanded its social media presence, participating on unique platforms such as Polyvore and Houzz.

JMX Brands understands the importance of building relationships, both with the 190 Amish furniture craft shops in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana and its customers. Just six months ago, JMX Brands expanded its Web-only presence to open a brick-and-mortar furniture store in Sarasota, FL.

“We are always looking at ways to improve the buying experience,” said Jim Miller, JMX Brands owner and CEO. “Whether that is speeding up the shipping process, providing online content that is informative for our customers’ lives, or offering a location for people to see the furniture first hand.”

JMX Brands made several lists of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States last year, including the 2015 Gulf Coast 500, Inc. 5000, and Internet Retailer 1000.
