Our directors lead by example, both by their commitment to expertise in their fields and to giving back.
Executive Leadership Team
Jim Miller is the CEO and co-owner of JMX Brands. He has led JMX Brands from a start-up headquartered in his home’s family room to a leading internet retailer of Amish furniture.
Jim was raised Mennonite in Indiana and Michigan and related to the Amish in those areas. He continues to attend a Mennonite church and volunteer with Mennonite associations.
Jim serves on the board of directors at Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) and Everence. He has been a member of the Executive Council of Sarasota United for Responsibility and Equity, president of the Sunnyside Foundation, and director at Charis Center, to name a few. He is a member of the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma and has been a speaker at various conventions.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Goshen College and a Master of Science in Management from the University of South Florida.
Miao Xue is the CIO and co-owner of JMX Brands. Miao is a technical expert who single-handedly built the ecommerce system that JMX Brands has used for more than twelve years to manage its many complex interfaces.
His strong entrepreneurial spirit, strong technical background, sharp sense for marketing trends and his creative mind contribute to the effectiveness of JMX Brands.
Having worked as an IT manager, technical specialist and CIO, Miao brings the strongest technical background to the JMX team.
Miao has a bachelor’s degree in commodity science from Renmin University of China and holds two master’s degrees from the University of South Florida in management and information systems.
Linse Miller, Jim’s wife, is vice president of DutchCrafters. With the company since its inception in 2003, Linse was first to advocate Amish furniture sales online. She has been instrumental in building the DutchCrafters brand and product line and has supervised the company’s marketing, sales and vendor relations.
As vice president, Linse is responsible for the strategic development and oversight of the brand identity of DutchCrafters. She draws from her years of experience to build strong relationships with key Amish craftsmen as she guides the company to achieve the brands priorities.
Linse explores opportunities for new growth and product development as she stays committed to the core values of JMX Brands and our mission to provide the marketplace with products that enhance the lives of every customer.
Linse holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Advertising from Florida State University and served as assistant director of marketing at Goshen College Sarasota.
Debra Gingerich is the director of marketing and manages the Content, Communications and Marketing Team at JMX Brands. She oversees all marketing and advertising, social media and other Web communications. Debra has more than 20 years of experience in Web communications and marketing. She was JMX Brands’ first employee, working out of Jim and Linse’s family room for a couple years. She then returned to JMX Brands in May 2015.
Debra holds a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Vermont College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Eastern Mennonite University. Debra is a published writer with publications in journals and anthologies. She is the author of a collection of poems, Where We Start, and co-editor of the anthology Shifting Balance Sheets: Women’s Stories of Naturalized Citizenship and Cultural Attachment.
Kari Jo Koshes is the director of stores and fulfillment for JMX Brands. She oversees innovations in product delivery, manages the LaGrange warehouse, and supervises the Sarasota showroom and the DutchCrafters showroom experience and expansions. Kari Jo started in 2013 as an administrative assistant and has since served as shipping coordinator, Customer Experience Team assistant manager, and Showroom and Fulfillment Team manager.
Kari Jo has a bachelor’s degree in general business with a minor in international business from the University of Central Florida. She has an MBA and DBA from Columbia Southern University. She is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Sarasota County and current member of Leadership Florida.
Doug Tuck is the business manager for JMX Brands. He manages the Business, Finance, Human Resources Team responsible for accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, human resources, and property management for the company.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree in business and a background in teaching business, coaching, tax accounting, and leading in a variety of administrative roles. Originally hailing from Punta Gorda, Fla., Doug has 30 years of experience in the classroom and leadership positions as an educator and coach.
